Florida Concealed Carry Course

Carry with confidence.

Carrying a gun is easy. Carrying it safely, legally and with real skill takes training. In one hands-on course with an NRA Certified Instructor you learn the law, master the fundamentals and fire live rounds on the range. You leave with the certificate you need to apply for your Florida Concealed Weapon License.

Be honest with yourself

Owning a gun does not make you ready to carry one

?Do you know exactly where you cannot carry?

Schools, government meetings, airports and more. One wrong place can cost you your rights.

?Could you hit your target under stress?

Accuracy on a calm day at the range is not the same as accuracy when your heart is racing.

?Do you know when force is legally justified?

What you do and say in the seconds after an incident matters as much as what you do during it.

If you hesitated on any of these, this course is for you.

Permitless carry is law. So why get licensed?

3 reasons smart carriers still get their license

Out of state

Carry when you travel

Florida's permitless carry stops at the state line. States that recognize the Florida license will honor yours.

0 days

Skip the waiting period

License holders can take home a firearm the same day they buy it, instead of waiting three days.

7 years

One license, seven years

The Florida Concealed Weapon License is valid for seven years from the date it is issued.

Good to know: since July 1, 2023, eligible adults can carry concealed in Florida without a license. The license is optional, but the responsibility is not.
